Regio Energy Profit

The aim of the REPRO project was to optimise existing cluster management structures and improve the implementation of sustainable energy systems within five regions in Europe.

The five regions involved (from Sweden, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Austria) developed and implemented optimised structures, instruments and actions successfully, resulting in the strengthening of the Regional Energy Profit Cluster.

Project conclusion: the REPRO European Conference

The REPRO European conference was hosted by the Representation of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen to the European Union and was chaired by Prof. Krzysztof Zmijewski, Warsaw Technical University, Advisor to the Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy.

The aim of the conference was to motivate other European regions to get the best out of their own energy strategies – both in terms of energy and the environment as well as in economic terms. With the purpose of increasing interest in the Regional Energy Profit Cluster concept throughout Europe, the project partners presented the participating regions’ experiences, including benchmarks, transferable best practices and tangible economic benefits that can be generated by an appropriately tailored sustainable energy concept on a regional level.
